Description

In a windswept Finnish countryside, the humble mill at Myllyranta becomes the unlikely stage for a clash of duty and destiny. When the diligent master Gervasius is ordered to collect taxes for the lord of the land, his reluctance sets off a chain of events that draws in the youthful knight Bo Knuutinpoika Ljungars and the sharp‑tongued keeper Pekka Grön. Their meeting awakens old grudges, stirs hidden loyalties, and throws the sleepy village into a restless uncertainty.

Amid the turmoil, the spirited Taavi and the beleaguered Ljungars children find themselves thrust into a perilous journey that leads them beyond the mill’s creaking walls toward the cloisters of Naantali. There, they encounter a stern abbess, wary monks, and a restless bishop whose hidden motives threaten to shatter any hope of safety. As alliances shift and secrets surface, the tale weaves together bravery, intrigue, and the lingering echo of age‑old feuds, inviting listeners to follow a path where honor is tested and futures hang in the balance.
