Description

Little Yellow Wang-lo lives aboard a houseboat with his father, Fo-Pa, a duck merchant whose lively flock fills the river with quacks, quorks, and squeaks. One hot morning, Wang-lo is sent to the market to sell the ducks and return with a pig for dinner. Thrilled to leave the boat, he chooses a little black pig with four white feet—but the stubborn animal has plans of its own.

When the pig bolts through the town and into the countryside, Wang-lo follows in a muddle of dust, heat, and determination. Their chase leads them to a hidden pig family, where Wang-lo finds himself caught up in games with seven lively piglets, ruining his Sunday clothes and making an awkward escape even more difficult. This gently comic children’s adventure combines repetition, animal sounds, and colorful surprises in a playful story about an ordinary errand that quickly becomes anything but ordinary.
