Description

A young boy named Paulus lives with his grandfather in a timeless forest far from civilization. Their modest home, sheltered by towering trees, feels like a living world where the trees sing at sunrise and rustle their thanks at night. Paulus treats the woods as companions, believing the trees and flowers possess their own quiet personalities, even though the villagers claim they are lifeless.

His grandfather, the venerable Willebrordus, is a gentle, slow‑moving figure whose eyes still sparkle like stars. Together they share simple routines, while the forest’s birds converse openly with Paulus, adding a touch of magic to everyday life. As the story unfolds, a mysterious stranger appears, hinting at adventures beyond the familiar canopy and inviting Paulus to question the boundaries between reality and fairy tale.

The narrative weaves gentle wonder with subtle hints of intrigue, inviting listeners to step into a modern fable where nature speaks, friendship endures, and the line between the ordinary and the extraordinary begins to blur.
