Description

In this lively early‑twentieth‑century tale we meet Toti, a mischievous little boy whose boundless energy turns a quiet morning into a cascade of slapstick humor. As his governess Miss Edith sleeps, Toti tiptoes through the sun‑lit bedroom, plotting a harmless prank with a hidden whistle that once belonged to her. The narrative captures his frantic whispers, the creaking floorboards, and the bright chorus of swallows outside, immersing listeners in the vivid pulse of a child's imagination.

The story unfolds in a charming boarding house where every ordinary object seems to hide a secret adventure, from the ticking clock to the open windows that flood the room with golden light. Toti’s attempts to outwit the stern yet endearing Miss Edith generate a cascade of giggles, while the gentle absurdity of his English lessons and his earnest blessings add a warm, nostalgic flavor. With bright, rhythmic language and playful dialogue, the opening invites listeners to share in the joyous chaos of a young heart discovering the world.
