KING ERIC - AND THE OUTLAWS.
CHAPTER I.
In thirteenth‑century Denmark a newly crowned king confronts the tangled loyalties of crown, church, and common folk. King Eric faces a restless clergy, the powerful Hanse merchant towns, and a band of outlaws who call themselves the “Leccarii,” an early socialist movement. The story moves in the brisk, vivid style of a Nordic saga, with clear dialogue and quick sketches of castles, winter markets, and wild forests.
As tensions rise, Eric must choose between papal demands and the autonomy of his realm, while the outlaws test his resolve with daring raids and unexpected alliances. Political intrigue mixes with personal drama, revealing the human passions behind grand events. Listeners are drawn into a world of chivalry, superstition, and early ideas of social justice, all told with the simple earnestness of a medieval minstrel’s tale.
