Description

Kate is a spirited young woman who spends her afternoons by the river near Bridgetown, fishing with a simple line while the island’s tropical light filters through the trees. Though she dresses neatly and carries a basket of white flowers, there’s a restless spark in her eyes that hints at a life larger than the quiet shore. The peaceful scene is interrupted when a lanky stranger steps onto the bridge, his gaze fixed upriver, and a mischievous friend named Dickory teases her about a daring pirate fight he just witnessed.

Soon Kate finds herself drawn into the bustling world of ships, secret letters, and whispered rumors that her father might have been a pirate. A charismatic sailor, Ben Greenway, becomes both confidant and curiosity, while the promise of romance and danger swirls around the quarter‑deck. As the tide shifts, Kate must decide whether to follow the currents of her family’s mysterious past or chart a new course of her own making.
