Description

In a remote Finnish countryside, two neighboring farms—Yli‑Tuomi and Ali‑Tuomi—anchor the lives of intertwined families. The story follows the children of these households: brothers Tapani and Topias, their sister Vappu, and the nearby siblings Martta, Helka, Perttu, and Simo, whose everyday chores, rivalries and budding romances paint a vivid portrait of agrarian life. As seasons turn, celebrations like a midsummer wedding bring joy, while sudden tragedy begins to test the resilience of the community.

The narrative captures the quiet strength of the characters—a diligent farmer, a gentle weaver, a grieving sister, and a stoic young man—against a backdrop of hard work, shared harvests, and the ever‑present rhythm of nature. Listeners will be drawn into the heartfelt connections, the simple yet profound moments of love and loss, and the subtle tensions that arise when tradition meets the uncertainties of the future.
