Description

Marcia McHenry stands at the mouth of a colossal moon‑bound shuttle, heart thudding as the crowd swarms the gangway. She clutches a borrowed health card, pretending to be someone else so she can board the flight that her husband, Captain Jack McHenry, will soon command. The scene hums with the clang of tractors and the stern warnings of “CAUTION — HAVE YOU PASSED YOUR PHYSICAL?” while Marcia wrestles with guilt and a desperate need to prove herself.

Behind the polished veneer of the spaceport, a smiling stewardess escorts her to a seat, and the ship’s engines roar to life. As the massive vessel readies for launch, Marcia’s mind flips between memories of her father’s fatal rocket accident and the fragile promise of reconciling with Jack. She hopes the daring ruse will spark a new beginning, even as the countdown ticks down and the launchpad lights flare.
