Description

Set against the turbulent backdrop of 12th‑century England, the story follows Wilfred of Ivanhoe, a young knight freshly returned from the Crusades. Though he bears the scars of distant battle, his loyalty to the absent King Richard and his longing for the lady Rowena drive him back into a land torn between Norman lords and Saxon rebels. Disinherited by a jealous uncle, Ivanhoe arrives in disguise, hoping to prove his worth at a grand tournament that promises both honor and redemption.

Within the bustling camp of Prince John, the tournament becomes a stage for clashing ideals: chivalry versus ambition, love versus duty. Ivanhoe must navigate a maze of rival knights, secret alliances, and the simmering resentment of the Saxon countryside. As the contests begin, the listener is drawn into a vivid tapestry of heraldic splendor, medieval intrigue, and the timeless struggle for a just cause.
