Description

A quiet day on the beach turns absurd when a sudden, invisible storm dumps a dozen tiny red frogs onto George’s head. He finds himself the literal center of a perfect cone of hopping raindrops, each splash urging him to run, to hide, or simply to wonder what could cause such a thing. The bizarre weather is both irritating and oddly mesmerizing, setting a tone that is half comic, half uncanny.

Just as George’s frustration peaks, his wife Myra arrives, radiant in a bold swimsuit and eager to label the phenomenon “Fortean.” Their banter mixes affection with bewilderment, as they toss out wild explanations—political symbolism, cosmic jokes, or the whims of a long‑dead theorist. Together they stand at the edge of an inexplicable event, hinting that the frogs may be only the first clue in a larger mystery that will test their curiosity and their relationship.
