Part 1
Part 2
A brand‑new interstellar cruiser, the Glory of the Galaxy, is on its inaugural passage through the inner solar system when a sudden weapon blast sends it hurtling toward the Sun. The distress signal ripples through sub‑space, reaching a distant Fomalhautian freighter and, in a flash, the central Hub of the Galaxy. Inside the freighter’s cramped bridge, a weary captain is jolted awake and forced to confront the impossible: a vessel carrying the President of the Galactic Federation on a collision course with the star.
At the Hub, an unofficial office—known only to a few—holds the only hope. Two young liaison officers stare at the incoming alert, aware that the only person who might move fast enough is the enigmatic Johnny Mayhem, a figure spoken of in whispers across the federation. With bureaucratic channels clogged and time running out, they must decide whether to summon the legend without his consent, setting the stage for a daring rescue that could decide the fate of the entire galaxy.
