"I'm Greatly Concerned About Your Soul."
“I’M GREATLY CONCERNED ABOUT YOUR SOUL.”
In a quiet Welsh village, a devoted Independent minister and his congregation share a deep commitment to prayer, service, and the salvation of others. Their peaceful fellowship is unsettled by the arrival of a new tenant whose skeptical views place him beyond the reach of their tracts, Bibles, letters, and invitations to worship.
When every conventional effort seems to fail, one church member spends a night in anguished prayer before seeking the farmer out in person. Unable to offer an argument, he can only speak from the heart: he is deeply concerned for the man’s soul. Those few words begin to trouble the skeptic, forcing him to consider why a stranger should care so deeply about his spiritual condition when he does not care himself.
This brief, earnest Christian tale explores conviction, prayer, compassion, and the possibility of a changed heart. Its simple storytelling and direct dialogue make it well suited to listeners interested in Victorian religious literature and narratives of spiritual awakening.
