Η ΝΕΡΑΙΔΑ ΤΟΥ ΠΑΓΟΥ - 1. Ο ΜΙΚΡΟΣ ΡΟΥΝΤΥ
In a quiet Danish town two children, Kay and Gerda, share a bond as solid as the winter ice that coats their playground. Their world is bright with imagination until a wicked magician creates a tiny mirror that turns everything it reflects into sharp, bitter shards. When a fragment lodges in Kay’s eye and heart, he sees only cold logic and begins to drift away, drawn toward a distant palace of crystal.
Soon a silent, regal figure arrives: the Snow Queen, whose icy carriage sweeps Kay into a realm where warmth is forbidden. Gerda, bewildered and frightened, watches her friend melt into frost and vows to rescue him, guided only by a steadfast love and a tiny paper‑pea she carries for luck. Her journey will lead her through enchanted forests, talking ravens, and puzzling riddles, each step testing the strength of her courage.

Best remembered for fairy tales that still feel lively, funny, and a little strange, this Danish writer turned stories like The Little Mermaid, The Ugly Duckling, and The Emperor’s New Clothes into classics read around the world. His work often blends fantasy with loneliness, wit, and a sharp eye for human pride and hope.
