Hard Guy
HARD
In a futuristic 2000, sleek rocket cars stream along glassite highways, yet giving a stranger a lift remains a risky proposition. Frederick Marden, a cautious salesman, stops for a hard-eyed hitchhiker headed to Dentonville—and quickly discovers that Mike Eagen is no ordinary passenger. Eagen claims to lead the Strato Rovers, a notorious band equipped with a paralyzing mystery ray and a surprising code of honor.
According to Eagen, the Rovers target criminals rather than honest citizens and are secretly assisting Earth-Mars agents against the Black Hornet, an “internatural spy” plotting sabotage near a government ammunition facility. Marden is intrigued, uneasy, and perhaps a little too willing to believe the fantastic story. When Eagen reaches a small house on the outskirts of town, a silent woman waits at the gate, hinting that this strange encounter is only the beginning. Fast-moving and playfully futuristic, this adventure blends menace, deception, and pulp-style space-age daring.
