Description

In the heat of a tightly contested baseball match, Yale’s star pitcher Frank Merriwell steps onto the mound with his team trailing in the seventh inning. A lingering wrist sprain keeps him from using his signature double‑shoot, and the crowd watches anxiously as each pitch becomes a test of will. The Omaha Stars, a formidable opponent, have already put two runs on the board, and their fans are demanding action. Yet Frank’s calm demeanor and strategic mind suggest he’s planning something beyond sheer power.

When the umpire finally calls a penalty for delay, Frank finally releases a high, straight ball that the heavy‑hitter Hanson smashes toward the outfield. What follows is a frantic scramble: swift runners, daring throws, and a nail‑biting slide at home plate. The stadium erupts with shouts of “home run!” and “run, Hanson—run!” as the play reaches its climax. In those tense moments, Merriwell’s leadership and the team’s unity become the story’s beating heart, promising an exciting continuation.
