Description

Frank Merriwell has just walked off the Yale campus, trading varsity cheers for the uncertainties of a real-world career. A lively bout with his friends in a dorm room shows his trademark blend of confidence, good humor, and a willingness to step up when a challenge arises. As graduation looms, he’s already plotting how to turn his athletic vigor and keen sense of honor into a livelihood beyond the lecture hall.

Soon the young graduate finds himself on a bustling railway yard, where the clang of steel and the roar of steam engines become the backdrop for his first job. He must learn the ropes of a demanding trade, navigate rivalries, and decide when to stand firm for what’s right—even when the stakes involve more than just a friendly sparring match. Along the way, new allies emerge, and Merriwell’s steadfast character begins to shape the path he’s climbing, rung by rung.
