Description

In a lofty tower overlooking mist‑shrouded valleys, a young woman named Elaine tends to a sacred shield that once belonged to the legendary Lancelot. Each morning she arranges the arm‑bearing in the first light, then sews silk‑bound coverings and intricate borders of vines and golden‑crowned birds, turning the relic into both object of devotion and canvas for her imagination. Alone in her chambers, she reads the faded emblems, weaving stories about battles long past and guessing the hidden meanings of every scar and notch.

Meanwhile, the realm’s future king, Arthur, discovers a cursed black pool beside a desolate valley, where the broken crown of a forgotten ruler lies scattered. By chance he gathers the jeweled fragments, hearing a whisper that foretells his destiny, and he vows to turn the gems into a series of annual tournaments that will test the bravery of his knights. As the first contests begin, Elaine’s quiet fascination with the shield hints at a deeper connection to the unfolding legends of chivalry.
