Description

In the opulent hall of an Avignon hotel, a circle of aristocrats and artists exchange barbs over their favourite literary heroes. Among them, Rosaura Salcedo, a wealthy Argentine widow, captivates with an enigmatic smile that hints at hidden longing. When the young, affluent Claudio Borja declares his envy of the medieval knight Tannhäuser, the dialogue turns into a witty duel of nostalgia. The room is scented with tobacco, opium and distant Wagner strains, framing a tension between past myth and present ambition.

Soon after, Rosaura receives two curious objects—a tiny key and a yellowed letter—hinting at an old family secret that could draw the guests deeper into intrigue. As she and Borja step into the bustling salon, the vibrant atmosphere of the Côte d’Azur blends with the weight of forgotten histories, inviting listeners to follow a journey of memory, desire, and identity. The tale weaves literary allusion and subtle romance, setting the stage for a richly textured adventure.
