Description

A storm rages over the Scheldt as the English sloop Dover Lass pushes through restless waters, its crew led by the seasoned commander Guy Chester and his eager lieutenant Harry Dalton. The men whisper of Spanish treasure galleons lurking beyond the tempest, while the salty wind carries the distant echo of artillery and the promise of riches hidden in Alva’s vaults. As the ship glides toward the coast of Flanders, tension builds between duty and the lure of adventure, setting the stage for a daring chase through war‑torn seas.

The narrative follows a motley group of watergeuzen—rebellious Dutch sailors—who navigate treacherous politics, secret alliances, and the ever‑present threat of Spanish forces. Amid flickering lanterns and the clatter of cannon, they must balance their quest for the coveted Alva treasure with the survival of their own lives. Filled with vivid naval detail and the gritty spirit of 16th‑century piracy, the story pulls listeners into a world where every wave could bring either fortune or disaster.
