Humpty Dumpty is a cheerful, round little fellow with a winning smile and a generous heart—but he worries constantly about cracking his fragile shell. Hoping to become strong and sturdy, he seeks advice from the wise Black Hen, who reminds him of his father’s unfortunate fall and points him toward a solution.
With the help of a kindly Farmer’s Wife, Humpty undergoes a most unusual transformation in a boiling kettle. He emerges hard as a brick, brightly marked with red spots from his calico wrapping, and eager to test his new strength. Soon he is tumbling from shelves, balancing along clotheslines, and setting off into the sunshine to explore the wide world. This playful picture-book adventure follows a lovable character who discovers that resilience is most rewarding when it helps bring laughter, comfort, and happiness to others.
