Description

A restless teenager named Dawid sets off on a summer expedition to the icy reaches of North Greenland, guided by his eccentric mentor, Uncle Willie. The journey begins aboard a specially equipped steamship that has already traversed the Panama Canal and the Galápagos, hinting at a scientific mission to harvest deep‑sea specimens. As the vessel splits the cold waters, Dawid’s youthful curiosity is sparked by the promise of untouched wilderness far beyond any football field or city street.

On the frozen shore he encounters the local Inuit community, learns to track walruses, clean a narwhal’s skull, and watch polar bears and snow‑hares at play. The daily routine blends hard‑won survival skills with moments of wonder, pushing the boy to grow beyond his comfortable world. Listeners will feel the crisp Arctic air, hear the creak of the ship’s hull, and share in Dawid’s first taste of true adventure, a coming‑of‑age story that celebrates courage, learning, and the raw beauty of the far north.
