Description

In a quiet village where the clatter of hammer on iron fills the air, a wiry fifteen‑year‑old apprentice watches the world beyond the blacksmith’s door. With freckled skin, bright eyes and a restless spirit, he longs to trade the soot‑stained forge for the bustling streets of a distant city. One morning he declares his intention, stepping out onto the rickety bridge that separates his familiar world from the unknown.

His first steps take him past a flour‑dusty miller who offers a slice of cheap land, and past a horse whose new shoe sparks hope for a fresh start. Along the way the boy meets a handful of strangers—a talkative trader, a seasoned captain, and a curious girl—each offering a glimpse of the larger world he has imagined. As the river carries him toward the horizon, his confidence swells, promising a journey of work, friendship, and discovery.
