Description

Roland Sefton sits alone in his night‑lit study, the steady tick of the office clock the only sound breaking the stillness of Riversborough. The old town’s winding streets, its ancient churches and the river that has forever traced its course through his memory surround him, offering a comforting backdrop to his reverie. As he watches his son Felix stare out at the sunset, the familiar rooms of his family home swell with bittersweet nostalgia, reminding him of the prosperity and security once guaranteed by his father’s bank.

Yet beneath the warm glow of recollection, a knot of unease begins to tighten. Secrets long buried in the bank’s ledger and shadows from his own past stir, threatening to unravel the life he has built. Roland’s quiet contemplation hints at a looming crisis that will test his loyalties, his family, and the very foundation of the community he loves.
