Description

On a chilly London morning, Dr. Watson finds himself holding a battered walking stick left behind by a late visitor. The cane bears the engraved initials M.R.C.S. and the date 1884, clues that immediately draw Sherlock Holmes's keen eye to a country doctor who spends much time on foot among his patients. As Holmes examines the item, he and Watson begin to sketch the portrait of a man whose work takes him far from the city and whose life may be entwined with something more sinister.

The case soon expands beyond the simple curiosity of a lost accessory. The doctor, James Mortimer, arrives with a desperate plea concerning a family plagued by a centuries‑old legend of a ghostly hound haunting the desolate moors of Dartmoor. With the legendary curse whispering in the wind, Holmes agrees to travel to the remote estate, intent on separating fact from folklore before another tragedy can strike.
