In the shadowed woods of the Canadian frontier, a newborn pup named Bari opens his eyes for the first time inside a fallen log. His mother, the blind wolf Louve‑Grise, shelters him while his father, the dog Kazan, glows with green‑fire eyes that become Bari’s first glimpse of a world beyond darkness. The contrast between the mother’s quiet, protective growls and the father’s curious, steady presence sparks a fierce curiosity in the half‑wolf. As light filters through the timber, Bari begins to understand the balance of scent, sound, and sight that defines wilderness life.
Soon he learns to wobble on unsteady legs, chase sticks and moss under the sun, and mimic the soft whines his mother uses to communicate. The bond with his parents teaches him both the ruthless independence of the wild and the tender loyalty of a pack. Yet the mix of wolf instinct and dog upbringing leaves him questioning where he truly belongs. Listeners are drawn into the early days of survival, anticipation building for the journeys and choices that await this extraordinary creature.
