Description

In a quiet Finnish village a singular monkey arrives, bearing a scarred head and a penchant for trouble. Though the children adore him and rename him Vekkuli, the creature’s endless appetite and knack for breaking things quickly turn the household into a battlefield of broken chairs and scattered feathers. The townsfolk, torn between laughter and frustration, debate how to contain a creature that seems to defy both cage and exile.

When Vekkuli is sent aboard the steam‑powered Vulcan, his mischief finds a new stage among the cramped decks and superstitious crew. He scrambles up rigging, swaps tools, and even imitates the ship’s official notices, leaving the captain alternately exasperated and oddly impressed by the monkey’s uncanny inventiveness. As the vessel sails toward an uncertain horizon, listeners can expect a lively blend of slapstick chaos and the tender oddities that make this unlikely hero both a nuisance and a beloved companion.
