Description

A fearless wanderer flees the chaos of a revolutionary Siberian city, thrust into an unforgiving wilderness where survival hinges on quick wits and raw instinct. Armed with only a borrowed hunter’s coat and a handful of supplies, he treks through thick taiga, hunting elk and elk‑antlered beasts while the ever‑present threat of Red soldiers shadows every step. In a half‑burnt hut he meets a small band of Bolshevik troops, and a tense, tea‑sharing parley unfolds, revealing the fragile humanity that persists even amid ideological fury.

Beyond the forest, the journey stretches across the stark steppes of Mongolia and the lofty heights of Tibet, where each encounter with nomads, monks, and wild creatures becomes a meditation on the links between the animal world, human ambition, and the elusive notion of the divine. The narrator’s vivid sketches of landscapes and peoples invite listeners to feel the chill of the Siberian wind, hear the crack of a rifle, and contemplate the timeless struggle for meaning in lands where the line between myth and reality blurs.
