Description

In a sleepy village framed by climbing morning glories, Berry Vining sings a hopeful melody from her cottage window, dreaming of a love she has never known. The lilting verses catch the eye of a gallant rider who flashes a courteous bow, igniting a sudden, fierce flutter in her heart. Berry’s bright curls, curious brown eyes, and shy smile already earn the admiration of every passerby, but the fleeting glance from the handsome stranger feels like destiny whispering its promise.

Back inside, Berry’s mother calls her away from reverie, reminding her of everyday chores and the modest world she inhabits. The contrast between Berry’s soaring romantic visions and the practical demands of village life sets the stage for decisions that could reshape her future. As she longs for the rider’s return, the story unfolds with tender yearning, the pull of duty, and the first steps of a love that may demand a sacrifice.
