Description

A weather‑worn seafarer drifts into the doorway of a modest tavern called the Admiral Benbow, clutching a battered chest and a tale that has been buried for decades. His rugged appearance—black‑stained nails, a scarred cheek, and a voice that rattles like a broken anchor—immediately sets a tone of gritty adventure. He spends his days scanning the horizon with a brass telescope, sipping potent grog, and offering cryptic warnings to any who cross his path, hinting at a hidden island and a treasure that still lingers in the shadows of his memory.

The narrator, tasked with preserving every fragment of this legend, begins to record the old pirate’s recollections, from the mysterious black dog that appears and vanishes to the strange symbols etched on the sea‑man's chest. As the story unfolds, the reader is drawn into a world of rum‑filled nights, secretive glances, and the promise of a long‑forgotten loot waiting to be uncovered on the fabled Aarresaari.
