Description

In a quiet valley of the Green Mountains, ten‑year‑old Faith Carey dreams of adventure while listening to the gentle song of the mill‑stream that runs beneath her family’s log cabin. When a visitor from the nearby town arrives, Faith’s world expands beyond the wilderness trails, and she eagerly prepares for the arrival of a new friend, hoping to share the simple joys of pumpkin picking and river songs.

Soon Faith’s curiosity leads her across the icy waters of Lake Champlain to the bustling settlement of Ticonderoga, where she spends a winter with relatives near the famous fort. Amid the crisp air and the rustle of pine forests, she learns a hidden piece of the fort’s story—one that catches the attention of Ethan Allen and his Green Mountain Boys. Along the way, encounters with mischievous bears and the rugged frontier life bring both challenge and wonder, inviting listeners to experience the spirit of a young girl eager to help her country in its earliest days.
