A lone scout awakens in a nightmarish alien forest, his body battered and his mind fragmented. Shadows twist into grotesque creatures—swamp‑born beings, towering Martians, and a nightmarish Earth‑like devil—while a distant, metallic gong shatters the nightmare and leaves him alone, gasping for breath. Disoriented, he hears two inhuman voices debating his fate, speaking of tests, hatred, and a desperate need to strip his memories.
The sky above glows with a scarlet hue, a red moon hanging over a distant, ringed planet. The scout realizes he’s not on Earth but on a forbidden world ruled by the enigmatic Aesir, a place from which no one ever returns. With only his wits and a bruised body, he must navigate hostile terrain, decipher cryptic warnings, and confront powers far beyond ordinary weaponry. The first act sets a tense stage where survival hinges on more than firepower—cunning, will, and the faint hope that the gods might yet favor him.
