Description

In ancient Athens, the city buzzes with preparations for the royal wedding of Theseus, the duke, and Hippolyta, queen of the Amazons. Amid the festivities, a young Athenian named Hermia faces an impossible choice: obey her father Egeus, who demands she marry the pompous suitor Demetrius, or follow her heart toward the gentle Lysander. Defiant and determined, Hermia and Lysander decide to flee the city’s strict laws, seeking refuge in the moonlit woods beyond the walls. Their secret escape sets the stage for a night where love, law, and longing collide.

Unseen by mortals, the forest is ruled by Oberon and Titania, the regal king and queen of the fairies, who keep a mischievous sprite named Puck at their command. When the fairy monarchs intervene in the lovers’ quarrel, they unleash a magical potion that blurs the boundaries between reality and illusion. Meanwhile, a troupe of humble craftsmen, led by the bumbling director Peter Quince, rehearses a clumsy tragedy for the duke’s celebration, adding a layer of comic chaos to the unfolding drama.
