Xingjian Bai

776–826

A Tang dynasty poet and writer remembered for elegant prose, he is especially known for "The Tale of Li Wa," a famous love story from classical Chinese literature. He was also the younger brother of the poet Bai Juyi, linking him to one of the best-known literary families of the era.
