Whiffet Squirrel

Three bright‑eyed squirrels—Whiffet, Skiffet and little Skud—set off with Mom and Dad to find a safer place to raise their brood. Their search leads them up an old chestnut tree, where they discover a snug brown house perched on a branch, complete with a sloping red roof, round doors and a “FOR RENT” sign flashing in bold letters. The family imagines the perfect nook for storing nuts and raising their young, and Mom immediately begins to make it their own.

Just as the squirrels start to settle in, a pair of newly‑wed robins swoop down, mistaking the tiny dwelling for a birdhouse. A comical showdown ensues, with the squirrel parents quickly posting a “NO TRESPASSING” sign and the children giggling at the birds’ startled flight.
