Born in Buckhurst Hill, Essex, on May 8, 1872, Una Lucy Silberrad was a British author whose fiction found a wide audience in Britain and beyond. She wrote under the name Una L. Silberrad and is remembered as a productive storyteller with a gift for lively plots and readable, character-driven novels.

Her books included The Good Comrade, Princess Puck, Curayl, Petronilla Heroven, and The Lady of Dreams. Much of her work blended romance, social observation, and adventure, which helped make her a familiar name to readers in the early 1900s.

Silberrad died on September 2, 1955. Although she is less widely known now than she was in her own time, her novels still attract readers interested in overlooked popular fiction by women writers of the period.
