Tong Wang is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Yale School of Management and a Faculty Fellow at Yale’s Center for Algorithms, Data, and Market Design. Her research focuses on machine learning for business problems, especially models that are interpretable and can work with both structured data and unstructured material such as text and images.

Before joining Yale, she was an Assistant Professor of Business Analytics at the University of Iowa, where she was awarded promotion and tenure in 2023. Her CV also lists a Ph.D. in Computer Science from MIT, reflecting the technical foundation behind her work.
