Sybil Irene Eleanor Taylor Cookson (1890–1963) was a British journalist and writer of romantic novels who published under the pen name Sydney Tremayne. Modern library and reference sources often note the pseudonym because it has been confused with other writers of the same name.
She is remembered both for her journalism and for fiction written for a broad popular audience. Her books include Tatlings and novels published as Sydney Tremayne, including The Auction Mart.
