Scott Dudley Breckinridge (May 23, 1882–August 1, 1941) was an American physician and accomplished fencer. Born in San Francisco and later based in Lexington, Kentucky, he studied medicine at Georgetown University, graduating in 1907, and became a gynecologist.
Breckinridge was a U.S. fencing champion in foil and represented the United States at the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm, competing in individual foil and team épée. His sporting experience became the foundation for Sword Play, Based Upon the French School of the Foil, published in 1941 with his son, Scott D. Breckinridge Jr.
