Born at Edgehill in Albemarle County, Virginia, Sarah Nicholas Randolph (October 12, 1839 – April 25, 1892) was an American educator, school principal, historian, and author. She was a great-granddaughter of Thomas Jefferson, a family connection that shaped her best-known work.

Randolph is especially remembered for The Domestic Life of Thomas Jefferson, a book drawn from family letters and reminiscences that focused on Jefferson’s private and household life rather than only his public career. She also wrote The Life of General Thomas J. Jackson, extending her work from family history into biography.
