About the author

Quelle & Meyer is a German publishing house founded in Leipzig on July 1, 1906, by the booksellers Richard Quelle and Dr. Heinrich Meyer. It grew quickly in the early twentieth century, helped by successful school and science publications, and became an established name in German educational publishing.

The company later continued beyond Leipzig and is now based in Wiebelsheim in Rhineland-Palatinate. Its modern program focuses strongly on nature, biology, and field guides, while still carrying the long history of a traditional specialist press.

Because this is a publisher rather than a single author, the most relevant historical figure linked to the name is co-founder Richard Quelle.
