About the author

Before becoming known online as Xiao Qi Xiao, he worked as an electrical automation engineer. Later he moved into writing and became a well-known Chinese web novelist, with published works dating back to 2007.

His novels include Iron Age, Martial Empire, Orange Age, National Peerless, Spring and Autumn Old House, A Loser's Counterattack, and Crime Investigation Bureau. He is also a member of the China Writers Association, studied at the Lu Xun Academy of Literature, and served as a mentor in the first Online Literature League.

Some of his fiction has reached a wider audience through adaptation, including Age of Legends. Public biographical listings also give his pen name in Chinese as 骁骑校 and list his birth date as January 15, 1977.
