About the author

Born in 1880 in Serbia, Nikolaj Velimirović studied theology and went on to become a bishop in the Serbian Orthodox Church. He was known both as a preacher and as a prolific author, writing sermons, prayers, meditations, and religious essays that reached a wide audience.
