Born in Saint Petersburg on February 6, 1889, and known as Greta Langenskjöld, she was a Finnish writer who also worked as a school leader and critic. She completed her studies in Viipuri and Helsinki, earning a degree in 1911, and went on to build a long career in education.

She taught at a Swedish-language girls' school in Porvoo from 1915 to 1920, then served as head of Laurellska skolan in Helsinki from 1921 to 1959. Alongside that work, she published poetry and other writing, and Swedish-language sources note her active involvement in Christian student circles.

Langenskjöld was born Margareta Langenskjöld and died in Helsinki on September 11, 1975. Archival records also show that her papers include manuscripts of poems, religious texts, notebooks, publications featuring her literary work, musical settings of her poems, and correspondence, suggesting a life deeply rooted in both writing and ideas.
