Born in Lyon on November 12, 1873, and died in Paris on May 23, 1942, Magdeleine du Genestoux was a French author and editor best known for children's literature. She also published under her married name, Madeleine Arrigon.

Her first novel, Noémie Hollemechette: journal d'une petite réfugiée belge, appeared in 1918 and was recognized by the Académie française. She went on to write many books for young readers, often centered on energetic children, family life, and everyday adventure.

She is also remembered for her connection to early French Disney publishing. In the 1930s, she wrote or translated books featuring characters such as Mickey and Minnie, helping introduce them to French-speaking children alongside her own long-running work for youth literature.
