Born in 1885, Louise Elizabeth Dutton Fillmore was an American author whose work appeared in magazines including The Saturday Evening Post, The Metropolitan Magazine, The New Broadway Magazine, and Young’s Magazine. MacDowell also records that she was a resident there in 1921, 1924, and 1927.

In 1921, she married fellow writer Parker Fillmore. Beyond her own fiction, she later served as general director of MacDowell, linking her career not only to publishing but also to the support of other artists and writers.

Her known books include A Trial Trip (1908), A Change of Heart (1908), The Answer (1909), Apartment Nine (1910), Dutch (1912), The Goddess Girl (1915), and The Wishing Moon (1916). She died in 1951.
