by Lauri Heisalo
Born Arvo Lauri Vuori in Maaria on February 10, 1884, he published under the name Lauri Heisalo. Finnish sources identify him as a playwright, and the surviving record around him is brief, suggesting that much of his reputation now rests on a small body of theatrical work.
His best-known work is Avioliittoilmoitus: Pilakuvaus 2:ssa kohtauksessa, originally published in 1910. Bibliographic records also list Neljä yksinpuhelua, another early work connected with light stage performance and entertainment programs.
He died in Nousiainen on October 28, 1957. A readily verifiable modern portrait was not available from the sources I could confirm, so no profile image is included.
