Born in Dows, Iowa, in 1914, Keith Robertson was an American author of children's books and mystery novels. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1937 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, later continuing in the Naval Reserve.
Robertson is especially remembered for the Henry Reed series, which began with Henry Reed, Inc. and earned generations of young readers with its humor, clever plotting, and sharp ear for how children think and talk. His books often mix small-town life, resourceful kids, and gentle comedy in a way that still feels fresh.
