Born in Helsinki on September 3, 1894, Kaarlo Kustaa Asp was a Finnish author who also built a substantial career in education and journalism. He graduated in 1913 and completed a degree in 1919, later becoming known as a school counselor, folk high school leader, editor-in-chief, and writer.

Sources on Finnish literary and biographical databases connect him especially with Satakunta. He served as head of the Pohjois-Satakunta folk high school from 1928 to 1961 and as editor-in-chief of Kankaanpään Sanomat from 1939 to 1961. He died in Kankaanpää on June 29, 1979.

As a writer, he worked in Finnish and is listed as an author, playwright, and translator. Works associated with him include the plays Vanha laulu and Yllätys, as well as the novel Vedentaan kartano.
