About the author
Jane Fielding appears to be an author associated with a small but varied body of work. Confirmed titles include Master Reynard: The History of a Fox, a story connected with J. C. Tregarthen and available through Project Gutenberg, as well as The Truth Behind C.S.I. / C.S.I.: The Truth Behind Crime Scene Investigation, a nonfiction book for younger readers about forensic science.
Because reliable biographical sources are scarce, not much personal background could be confirmed from the sources I found. The available records suggest a writer or reviser whose published work spans both nature-focused storytelling and explanatory nonfiction.
In cases like this, the books themselves are the clearest guide: one points to an interest in the lives of animals and classic adventure-style narrative, while the other shows a talent for breaking down complex real-world subjects in a straightforward, readable way.
