About the author

Born and raised in New York City, he grew up in a crowded apartment with five brothers and sisters and started working young, taking jobs that ranged from shining shoes to delivering newspapers and doing construction work.

He later built a successful career as a trial attorney in Florida that lasted for about 30 years. That background became the foundation for his fiction, which includes legal thrillers such as The Lawyer’s Lawyer, The Mayor of Lexington Avenue, and The Law of Second Chances.

In addition to writing, he has taught trial law and served as director of the Tampa Law Institute at Stetson University College of Law. His books are known for combining courtroom drama with questions about loyalty, guilt, and the cost of doing the right thing.
